Crescent implemented the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp’s Local, Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise and Local Workforce Initiative. Crescent staff worked closely with the client, overall project team, local elected officials and local community organizations to assist with the 45% L/M/WBE Subcontracting and 55% Workforce goals. Daily responsibilities for the Project Manager included but were not limited to coordination and marketing of community outreach events, refer local workforce to employment opportunities with contractors and track the job retention of those workers, provide referrals to local workforce organizations for employment and training opportunities, assist in preparation of bid list, liaison role between project team and L/M/WBE firms, monitor contractor compliance with all BNYDC requirements, maintain and submit monthly reports to project team and BNYDC, identify areas of concern and recommend options to the Project Team.
